BASED-UK receives funding from a network of supporters, from fundraising events and from grants made by other charitable organisations. A significant proportion of those funds goes straight to our partner organisations for project work. To view our annual reports and accounts please see the Charity Commission website.

The Setsembiso Sebunye Foundation requires approximately £23,000 per year to support the 40 preschools serving 680 children. This funding covers teacher training and the support and guidance offered by the Coordinator of Community Schools, including periodic visits and regional teacher gatherings. The ongoing costs of the schools are met by the parents and the local community.

The Bayan Association in Honduras requires approximately £55,000 per year to support the 77 banks with 1610 members. The funding does not go into capital for the banks, it is solely for training and support. This includes training sessions and materials, the Coordinator's time, travel and visits across the country.
